1.Using google or any smart person learn about the process of making a Labane cheese (it is a middle eastern common cheese which is very popular in Israel).
*Milk substitute, such as soy/ almonds/ etc. or just pickles recipe can be used instead, if you are vegan.
a. Take pictures of your cheese production process; you can make a collage or a selfie 😊 as well.
b. By the end of the cheese production process (or pickles) there is wastewater. In this case, the residual drained water from the cheese which contains organic matter (cheese, proteins, etc.), inorganic matter as salts (NaCl, sometimes calcium chloride, Phosphates, nitrogen and more) and mostly water.
In Israel those are the most complicated industrial wastewater cases to treat, because the Israeli regulation is very strict regarding salts concentrations due to irrigation of agriculture. If you were a cheese/ pickle factory EHS engineer – how would you solve it?
